About MEDC President, Kay King

The Morehouse Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kay W. King as President and CEO of the organization. Ms. King is a graduate of University of Louisiana – Monroe completing a Bachelors Degree in General Studies and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Community and Economic Development with the University of Central Arkansas. Ms. King completed the Community Development Institute Year 1 Program offered in August of 2004 and also received graduate credit for completion of a Community Assessment and Strategic Plan for Morehouse Parish. Ms. King is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor and was previously employed as the City Surveyor for the City of Monroe Engineering Services Department. She has worked closely with developers and economic development organizations in the area to provide information about available properties and support infrastructure. Ms. King is originally from West Monroe, Louisiana and is now a resident of the Log Cabin area of Morehouse Parish. She looks forward to being an active part of the marketing of this area and providing a professional level of support in matters regarding land and commercial development.
